BACK ON TRACK, FINALLY!

BLUE CLEMATIS CLOSE UP

It has taken a very long time, for me to get back into the swing of things, writing, photography, posting; though now it seems to all be coming together finally. When I started Sojourns Today, I really wanted to return to “normal” as i was when writing “Heritage Basket Studio”, however there was still much hostility towards the sinister group of central Virginia people that took away my ability to weave the baskets, as I did for so many years. Do I miss creating & designing the baskets absolutely! However I could not move forward with such hatred & bitterness, one must learn to let it go, & move on! Unfortunately these people know who they are, they live on the “Play Today, Pay Tomorrow” plan, messing up peoples lives, thinking tomorrow will never come, hopefully they will remember when Karma comes knocking at their door!

I asked for a replacement for the baskets, which I loved so much, and have been given painting, in the same manner & way I was given basket weaving. It does no one any good to hang onto bitterness & hostility, as soon as I started moving away from this my world began to change for the better. My primary focus is in oils, while I have found it easier to work in watercolors (which I have done since 1978, and in acrylics, even though I much prefer oil/alkyds.

WHERE TO START?

Since trying to start “Sojourns Today” several times, not wanting to start over completely, I have decided to just (Start). Moving forward I will just post photography of my oil paintings as well as watercolor & acrylics, as well as general photography, used to encourage you to open your minds through imagination & visualization, inspiration to help bring forth your creative spirit in a highly technical world. It is funny, the very thing that seems to rob people of using their imagination,& creative spirit, is also the thing that helps me to convey those things as well.

PLEASE BEAR WITH ME!

So much has changed & appears to be changing constantly with WordPress, there will be a learning curve which will only be easiest learned by doing (posting). I am trying hard to not make mistakes, however please let me know if you have suggestions. I look at and proof read my posts, before and after posting. so much of the time there after is spent on what we call the “back end” Let me know your thoughts in the comments. I also want to add here that i am used to working on a desktop & NOT reading from a phone. WordPress sites are supposed to (word escapes me) resize to fit many devices, I am hopeful that it does.
